i've seen bananas get close to 25 oz and still hand launch and fly with a cox reedy so the .061 would have no problem: http://coxengines.ca/model-airplane-...-standard.html
and moving on, the original version of this plane had a 52"x8" wing and due to lots of repairs and tons of ballast to get the CG right it weighed in at 45oz by the time i finally learned to fly it. power was an enya .11CX which isn't much more powerful than an OS .10...and it flew really nice, was fast and agile...the deadstick glide was fast as well ![]() |

I have a Wild Thing, 36 " span, 350 sq in, 32 oz powered with a Cox .09 (7x4 APC, 15%) that hand launches well and flies great, and another with an MVVS 2cc (.12) at 35 oz.
The lighter, the better. post # 26 http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...1843370&page=2 |
