f3x setup chart help
how do you read one of the different f3x setup charts on many of the manufactures websites?
1, what is setup, a, b , c / start
2. how do these throws apply to the lower section wing, flap, elevator, rudder / a, b , c throws?
I am new to this information.
They are refering to the F3b tasks. F3b has 3 quit different tasks and the launch.
Start refers to the launch setting (off an f3b winch)
"A" setting is for the duration task (flying 10 minutes)
"B" setting is for the distance task (laps over 150m course in 4 minutes)
"C" is for the speed task (fastest time over 4 laps of 150m course).
In f3b you have different flight modes for the different tasks. So in duration you are flying a lot slower than in speed so you will have different settings for say aileron differential. hence the different settings.
The settings are usually measured in mm and have an up and down value for each control surface.
If you are setting up an f3b model for slope flying the "B" task settings would be the best place to start. The "b" settings would also be the most normal/cruise type setting for general flying.
