amd/jhh T-45....

Picked this up a while back, and it has just been sitting. Decided to take it from and EDF kit to a nice scale sloper. Is a big bird.

Is a glass fuse, which I think I will use some expanding foam in places to toughen it up.

Wood wings, which have retract and servo holes on the bottom, those will be covered and flap and alieron will come from the top. Already uncovered the wings and started that process. Then will glass the wings, thicker on the bottom, to toughen up that wood for rough landing areas.

It has full flying tail and rudder. Rudder will not be used. Not sure about the horizontals, doesn't seem like much movement is possible with them, so they may be cut and fixed with elevators on them.

Will replace the clear canopy with a solid foam one. And back hatch was missing so will make that, as well as a belly pan for under the wing at the fuse.

All together the parts are under 4 pounds, so it will probably be pretty light for it's size when done. Will see down the road. The edf guys seem to have flown them with 90mm fans (or more) and around 12-14 pounds.

Opened holes in top for servo's. Closed up some of the bottom, need to pick up some balsa to finish that. Glued together.

used a light in the retract bay to help outline it to copy a pattern. cut it out and filled those holes. also can see the full size hitec servo's for aileron and flap where they will sit.

Not a lot done, got wing set up to attach to fuse. And to cover the nose LG hole, decided to tape on a piece of plastic and fill the nose with expanding foam. When that is cured up hard, will glass over it.

Put some glass over the intakes, will get primed and sanded smooth.

Also glassed over the front wheel well. More layers there as it needs the strength. Interesting, a reaction between the foam and the epoxy, so the glass is puffing out slightly. Very odd, but shouldn't be an issue.
