I just purchased the Herr P-51. I would like to know what motor, battery system and retracts you used.
I have on hand a colbalt 400 & a Astro 020 brushless. I really would like the information. Also what prop.

Thank you in advance.

Sorry to answer so late but I was on vacation.

I have a mega 22/10/6 motor with a 9x4,5 apc prop.
landing gear is robart micro-rectract. If you search on "herr mustang" you will get prevoius posts.

About motor choice I wouldn't use a speed 400 or equivalent it would be to weak.

Thanks for answering.
At the moment I am planning to use the Astro geared 02.
The specs are:
10 600 mah cells
11x7E prop
17 amps
183 watts
6800 rpm

I believe that is plenty of power. I called Bob at Astro Flight to determine if a smaller prop would work. He suggested a 9x8 or a 10x8. I have his watt meter and will test various configurations on the bench. I'm going to find the specs on the mega 20/10/6 and see if it is comparable. Possibly you could tell me.

I do thank you for answering.
