Has anyone tried an install in the new Horizon Hobby E-flite P-51? A little elf told me that one might be landing my way for the holidays

sound systems for 3 different models

I have 3 unbuilt airplanes I am interested in sound
systems for.
One is a Hangar 9 P40B with a 55.5" wingspaN, 530 sq9.inches
wing area, weighing betwqeen 6.75 and 8 lbs.
I'd like an Allison sound for that although I guess a Merlin might be close.

I have a Great Planes Spad 13 coming with a 34"wingspan,390 sq.inches wing area, weighing between 22.4 and 25.2 ounces.
I'd like the sound of a Hispano Suisa v8 for that and finally I have Great Plains Fokker D7 coming.
I guess I could use your Mercedes sound for that.
Does it sound like the Spad or the Fokker would be big enough to carry your sound system?
Machine gun sounds would be nice for them but not totally necessaery.
I'm guessing the P40B would be plenty large enough but would you have an Allison
sound for that?

Andrew's WWII sound pack has the Allison. His WWI pack has a D.VII

Thanks for your response.
Is the total weight of the sound system and it's components 2.,5 oz.?
I haven't received the 2 WW1 acft yet - just wondering if it would be too much weight for them.

mgdon,
For a P-40 weighing 8 lbs, I would not hesitate to use two TT-25 speakers. But, be careful of the wing loading too. For 55", you should be good up to about 30 ounces/ sq ft. Then you must make sure your CG is correct too.

Use a single TT-25 for a Spad weighing 25 ounces. I think the total weight for the board and speaker is closer to 3.6 ounces

I did not see specs for your third plane.

After adding the 2 transducer system to my foam 72" B-17, and using a dedicated 3s 1300mah battery, it actually made the plane fly more stable, with no noticeable degradation in speed/performance.

It brought the plane up to just over 6 lbs. One of the speakers is the bass transducer, which adds a deep, rich sound.
