What setup do you use? Is it 6 or 8 cells?

I grew up in SoCal. I got my Private out of Chino. I was thinking AVblue was $1.65 back then. But yes... regular was $1.23.

But to keep it on topic... I'm sure the rebuild will work out fine... and you will be successful with it !!

Thanks. I love the look of this plane, hence it didn't take me long to buy the new airframe. It will take some time before it gets to the top of the build queue again, though...

I crashed mine on maiden, and rebuilding it. However, I used this setup in another plane, same size, and would get around 4 minutes.

Nope. After the F100... If you look a couple of pages back in this thread, you will see the story and analysis of it. I learned something new about jets...

For those of you running 8S. Are 5000 mAh packs too heavy? or are you going with smaller packs?

Also, Do you think the Tacon 1700kv motor is too high kv for this setup?
http://www.hobbypartz.com/96m812-3674-1700kv.html

I ran some numbers on ecalc with the Midi Pro fan on 8S and it is definately at the top of the motors limits. Just wondering about this setup.

What was left in your packs after the 3 mins? Could you have got any longer?

Nice flight! It sure seems that the fan is running super nice. If I can get back to it I plan on running a Fan Jet on 8s in mine.

Around 3.8v of each cell after 3min. I didn't get any longer due to i don't wanna discharge my LiPo too deep.

Well, after a long wait I finally got to try out my CMP T-45.
With a 8s system it tipped the scale at 8 pounds 11 ounces, ya it's a tank.
This puts the airplane at a very high wing loading so I wasn't sure just how it would fly.
I used all of the tricks to keep this thing under control, wing fences, BLEs and a little washout in the ailerons.
My plan for the first flight was just to get this thing back on the ground in one piece.
Much to my surprise the first flight went very well. The airplane moves along smartly on 8s.
Landing is very similar to my eFlite BAE Hawk and not as difficult as I had expected. I probably could have slowed it down a little more.
All of the equipment I had installed worked very well but the R/C Lander nose retract and strut are garbage and will be replaced.
