If you have a good computer radio, you should be fine with the ailerons and such.
Are you going to paint it? If so, from what type eagle or hawk?
Still looking for someone who is good in airbrush. I am only good in brush works..

another flight, endurance run. except a few video cuts what I believe to be nearly 10min on a 900mah
have to keep it up high cause the the lower altitude are occupied by 2 CP heli and one Multirotor. collision with those can be fatal

My version of the bird of prey, i called it "Kuno". It´s made all of depron 6mm, wingspan = 120 cm, AUW = 456 gramm. I like it because it´s a nice and quiet slowflyer.

Mini-Eagle -------> Cardinal

Hi all. I finally finished building one of the eagles! I'm not actually sure which kind to call it, but it's the 3-layer laminated wing version as poopsed to the airfoil wing. I guess it's the FFF eagle... made with Dollar Tree foam... and it's scaled to 50% for a 28'' wing and AUW @ 134 grams (4.7oz). I took all the paper off the foam and sprayed it with red Krylon H2O after it was built. I do have a 7 footer in the works that's about 85% complete.
I couldn't be happier with the way this little guy flies on V-tail only. Soooo much fun and incredibly stable. The ESC,motor, prop, battery and servos are listed at the end of the vid for this set up.
Check out the video here:

I'll try to dig up some build pics and add them to this forum.

My opinion? BUILD ONE!! It can be done in a weekend and it's so worth it!

Nice. I like the idea of just using a profile for the fuselage. Seems like an easy build.

Recently three real buzzards came along and joined my bird. We all circled in some nice lift for about 10 minutes and it was a lot of fun. My son took a quick video of a test flight. Cloudy and not much lift but it does look like the real thing up there especially only costing about $3 Thanks for looking, Aero

Hi Kondor

I have a plan for this on a similar build. There's a downloadable PDF on post 1 and a image on post 7.

Hey Kondor! The exact version I built (in 28'' and 84'') is the very first link on POST #3 of this thread. It's the one with the 3 layer wing.
If you build the 28'' version (orig plans scaled to 50%), take off all the paper and don't use a spar of any kind unless you want an indestructible rocket-eagle. It's not needed when the 3 layers are laminated together in this design.
But be sure you trace the wing 1/2s as FULL wing pieces, i.e. don't make 6 pieces of wings... just 3 whole pieces, tip to tip. This makes it MUCH easier to line up the wing layers not having to marry the halves together.
Better still...It all fits on ONE sheet of DT Foam board! Too cool.

Let me know if you need any more info. I'm sure there are others that are more knowledgeable as well I've had great luck with getting info from the great members here.

Thanks / Cheers / Good luck!
