Just want to let you all know that the stock power package has more than enough punch for 3d with apc 11x3.8 (350W and pulls about 30A) but it gets hot with 12x4.7

Do not use any bigger prop than the 11x3.8sf which is the recommended prop for the stock power package

By the way, a Dubro 1.5in spinner fits perfectly on the X3! I'm hoping to have a chance to fly it tomorrow and share a flying video with you all.

Just got back home from weeks of work away from home and finally got a chance to fly the X3, it flew nice in a windy and gusty day! If you are looking for a durable full fuse epp bipe, i am convinced the X3 is the perfect choice for you!

eltreato,

Thanks! I use 3s 1800mAh but the X3 is very forgiving and will take anything from 1600 - 2200mAh 3S lipo.

A while ago, a member here asked me how the Ultimate does slow harrier and knife edge.
Well, i am definitely not a big 3D guy but i can tell you that the X3 does nice slow harrier though it won't feel as floaty as profile foamys. Unlike many other bipes, the X3 does straight knife edges with no coupling, little if any. Basically, if my dumb thumbs can do it then i am sure you will not have a hard time tossing the X3 around
Enjoy

RC tomy,

I will be doing a build review for the new Extra 330SC as soon as it becomes available in the US.

I would like to update this thread with a simple modification i just made on my Ultimate X3. After it got blown and flipped over a few times, those depron wingspars cracked and broke off over and over again. I got tired of it and finally decided to cut a simple wingspar out of thin plywood and have them glued on the outer side of those brittle depron spars as an added reinforcement on top of those aluminum wires that are glued on the inner side. This simple mod works great!

Its been windy lately and i crashed the bipe 3 times over the weekend and managed to have it stuck on a tree about 15 feet high! Lucky me, it was pretty windy that it finally fell down by itself
Got one of the crash on tape, enjoy! ....

Seriously, it wasn't there! Someone must have installed the fence while i was up in the air
