The Turnigy bolts SUCK! I tested them against the turnigy nano-tech 65c and the Nano-techs were leaps and bounds better. Its pretty sad really. The bolts are a gimmick. Save your money and buy another battery.

As other people have said the Turnigy Bolt's dont perform as-well as labeled on their packaging. With this new High-Voltage technology it is very important to realize that you really do gain 10% or more by going G6 HvLi. Meaning, You really can have your cake, and eat it too, with Hyperion G6 HvLi packs...

Plus look below at the test data, and our pack didn't puff-up @ 33C like the Turnigy Bolt Batt. pic below

Flew my 3s2800mA 65C Bolt pack today and noticed improved performance, enough to make me want to look closer. First of all, I can only charge to 4.20v and setting the LVC to 3.6v yielded 1700mA of juice, so this is more like a 2200mA pack. The extra capacity of @600mA is missing....meaning the missing 20% is found between 4.20v and 4.35v.

I am looking for information on what Firmware or updates there are for my PowerLab 8x2, looks as though the charging center software only gives the option to charge to 4.30v. Not 4.35v.

Pretty sure there are charge profiles for 4.35V packs for the powerlab chargers. Since revo sell 4.35V cells.

Update the firmware and load the PC software, I bet the profiles are on there for you to transfer to the charger.

I ordered the USB adapter cable and loaded the charge center. I will then be able to update the firmware. Awesome!

Flew 3 more runs on the Bolt 3s2800mA pack, it gives an obvious boost compared to the 3s2250 60C lipo. And I can only charge to 4.20v until the firware update.

I have powers 8 dual charger. There is a high voltage profile you can download and put on.

However don't waste your money on these over ate crap batteries. They suck! All of my bolt batteries performed at a turnigy nano tech 35c level. No where near 65c! Also powers showed internal resisted center of each cell being in the 5-5.7 range which is crap! Nano tech 65c is all in the 1-1.4 range and are way way more powerful. I highly suggest trying them and comparing back to back. There also cheaper.

I have my Power Lab 8x2 updated. Very cool and easy to use software.

I'm charging my Bolt 3s2800mA 65C/130C pack to 4.350v for the first time...... Watching the charge graph is awesome!

Here is the resting HV fuel chart:

*Storage @3.90v =60%
*80%/20% rule @3.78v=20% 3.7v LVC on ESC
*10% Stay above this @3.73v=10%
*EMPTY never go below @3.29v=0%

3s 2800mA 65C

8a discharge (max internal resistive)

Cutoff was 3.44v at 4% remaining =2478mA out.

2250mA out was 3.65v for 80/20 rule.

Set LVC on ESC FOR 3.7v and start the landing routine.
