My latest (third) order shipped within two hours of placing it the other day, it blows my mind. Well done! (Their support is also very helpful with any questions I've had on item compatibility)

Heads Up is great. I recently had a ESC issue that I recently purchased from them. I couldn't get the throttle to work. I E-mailed them Monday evening, I had a answer early Tuesday. Problem solved.

Cant' ask for better service.

Also from the time order placed to time received on doorstep is quick

Reviving an old thread but wanted to share my experience with Heads Up as well. After reading many comments about HURC here and at other websites, I decided to place an order with them on Tuesday (8/12). I ordered items to upgrade my HZ Super Cub DSM to brushless power. On their page they list a few motors for the SC which are in the 480 size range. I didn't want all that extra power as I am still learning to fly, but wanted quicker take-off and longer flight times than the stock setup. I had emailed them asking about the particular motor I was interested in - http://www.headsuphobby.com/Power-Up...otor-A-536.htm. Got a reply from Jesse and was told it would be an excellent choice for the Super Cub and he recommended a 10x3.8SF prop to go with it, for best combination of thrust and flight time. I asked about going down to a 400 size motor and he said it would not be appropriate for the model due to it being shorter and lower power. I took his advice and ordered the 450 and 10x3.8SF prop along with motor mount and a 30A ESC. Just confirmed the package has arrived at my door today (8/15). Great shipping speed, especially for only $2.00! Can't wait to get out of work and see the goodies!

I would recommend them to anyone who is looking to order RC items that they carry.

More kudos for HeadsUp RC. Shipping is almost always quick (and cheap at $2 or $5). When I've had problems with product, they've come through without reservation. Recently received a lost plane alarm that was damaged at some point. When I let Jesse know, he sent out a replacement, no problem. There were some servos that I thought were pretty good, but found out they were less reliable than thought. Jesse helped turn that around and I'll get the better servos I should have selected in the first place.

Definitely worth working with!

@ the poster that said "I bet if there was a poll ... "

There was and there will be more.

Heads Up Hobby formerly known as Heads Up RC Voted "#1 Online Hobby Shop" for 2012 by members of RC Groups

NOBODY HAS MORE PRODUCT DETAIL
NOBODY HAS CONSISTENTLY FASTER SHIPPING
NOBODY HAS BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE
There are some equals but they are few and very far between.
Jeff and his crew practice and exhibit a great business model and have well earned the reputation as the standard by which we measure others, at least at the groups.

HURC ESC's ?

anyone with good info on their HURC ESC'S ? they have all the good Amp sizes, and the prices are pretty good. I'm just cautious on stuff that is priced quite a bit lower than the "name brand" items is all.

I have the 30amp as a backup or for future projects so I haven't used it yet.

Price is not a good indicator of quality. Many "name brand" ESCs are just rebranded Hobbywing (good quality and reputation, but very affordable) but with the price needlessly jacked up.

I have come across Hobbywing esc's that where almost half the price of others. these were as i found out were "clones". that's where it gets sketchy to me

just trying to get a little feedback before I purchase is all

I think some guys in the Hobbyzone Super Cub thread are using them, that's where they were first recommended to me a couple of years ago.

The better bet at HURC now is the Sky Power ESC because they have the onboard SBEC (switch-mode BEC)...

Sorry to ask but I'm really rubbish at searching RCG threads, I always end up with hundreds of hits but never the one I want - you mentioned the HZ Super cub thread, can you give me a pointer to where it is please? I have searched but o no avail

It's over 1000 pages and currently at version 4 of the thread, you'll still need to use the search

here's a sky power search there...
