Ok thanks it looks like the epf ones plus shipping to uk are not much cheaper than the multiplex retracts. Also customs risk

Is this better?

Multiplex has a primer for EPP foam.
Does this improve spray paint adhesion?
Can't find a dealer in the USA.
Is there a substitute?

Used it a few times on MPX planes works a treat and paint sticks a lot better

Missing parts

G'day folks, I won this model in a raffle last year and shoved it aside until I had the time to put it together.
On the weekend I dug it out and started the assembly. I got all the ply sub frame put together and the servos are in, but, the kit is missing the 4 alloy stand off motor mounts. I contacted the store in Brisbane who supplied it for the raffle and they no longer stock it.
Can anyone advise where I might get these parts?

I have started to customise it after an RAF Tucano wearing a Spitfire colour scheme.

I have used nylon tubes which I obtained from from Lowes for that purpose in an other model. Any large hardware store in AU should have them in various sizes. I used threaded rods to capture the rods between the firewall and the motor "X" mount. Don't forget to use thread lock!

P.S. Really like your color scheme!

G'day Gary and Bansheerider,
Thanks for your assistance.
I went to the Tower website to look at the parts list. The parts I need aren't in stock.

Gary, I'll go to the hardware store and see what I can get as a substitute.
Thanks mate.

I was in Huntsville a couple of years ago, 4th of July in fact. I had some business at Redstone. Pretty warm, as I recall.

Rob.

Her ya go Rob http://www.worldhobbies.com/home_rc_...FYKWvQodtJUAyQ

They are in Melbourne

Not surprised you are missing parts. This has been happening since Mpx started assembly in Malaysia, I'm told.

Ask for Jeff at World Hobbies and explain that they were missing in the kit and they will probably send them to you gratis.
