35mm micro stumax by nitrocharged

It's been months in the making but the micro edf pusher with the metalized motor housing is finally a reality. It perfectly fits a 12mm motor and the motor tube acts as a heatsink. Expecting some great performance along with a very unique sound from this little gem. Awesome work NC!

VERY nice ..... but ..... when they say EDF 'pusher' does that mean that looking at the second picture above that the front of the unit is to the left ? If so then what are the benifits to this arrangement ?
Thanks.

Nice! I take it fully printed? Have you got thrust measurements?

Keep in mind though, Stu moved away from this config as they're very touchy. When they work, they work well, but it doesn't take much to lose that efficiency.

Sa-weet! Between the metal housing from SW and the ultra-detailed printer for the Rotor Pdawg found, there's nothing stopping you guys now! Awesome

Love the cut-out BTW! Printed, or done by hand?

The WM400 fan unit, also a pusher, is claimed to be both more efficient and work better in long ducting, compared to a tractor fan that is.

Odysis,
I cut the shroud open to display the fan at the AMA show. I have a backup though and am going to be installing a Neu proton motor in her for testing this week. NC has already run some initial tests. My job is to flight test it. It was designed for the Electrolyte with the goal of bringing a more turbine like sound to the micro edf class power system.

Steve
That's actually incorrect.
The venerable Wemo Mini fan..outperforms it.. hands down.
Explaining in large part; why it's basically yesterdays' news.

Bare, thanks for putting me straight.

The question therefore is still unanswered. namely, what are the benefits of a pusher arrangement?
