Packard PT engine

Not the greatest video or sound, but heart warming nonetheless! One of the Packards for PT-305 down in Nwor'lins, being started up:

I love seeing old engines come to life again. I doubt much built today will be able to show its life like the WWII era stuff can nearly 80 years later.

Charlie; I don't about that, I sort of liked the sound of a 4360 going METO. Roy Eklund

what is really neat is stand on the deck of the Pt and listen to all of them . THEN when your out on the river and you hear them humming a long or even being on top of the deck with the engine cover open. What a sound you here . It seems once you here them you never for get them. I know been all around PT 658 and enjoy it and crew when ever I am. Grate set of members. That motor sound sweet for sure and it wants to go . GOOD JOB to all of you . I know what it takes. DON

These photos were taken at the Nethercutt Collection, in Sylmar, CA.
If you live in the LA area, or if you are visiting, I more than highly recommend checking it out.
Oh, and by the way, it's free!
Check out their website, you will be amazed.
