Shell gas station on I-5 near Bakersfield

Will be posting some videos as soon as they upload but saw this sign on my return trip and no, I did not buy gas here. Note the prices shown are the CASH prices. They have a special procedure for gassing up at this station:
1. Pull your car up to the pump
2. Get out of the car
3. Take your wallet out of your pants
4. Bend over and grab your ankles firmly
5. A Shell station attendant will be with you shortly

Several videos

Here are a few videos from the CASL events.

Video link This is the CASL field at Schnepf Farms. It's a big field lined with trees.

Video link This is a typical F3J launch. The plane launching person holds the plane and pre-tensions the line (F3J winches hold the tension even if the motor is off) until 2-3 seconds before launch , then the winch pedal is pressed for the final tension before release.

Video link An F3J landing. Note that all pilots land at the same time on their own tape. The time countdown is announced over the PA system.

Video link This is an F3J self-launch by Joe Wurts. Not many pilots do their own F3J launches.

Here is a video one of the CASL folks took of one of my TD contest landings.

Here are a few F3J practice videos from summer 2012 of Bob McGowan. Link1 Link2

Chris, I enjoyed your posts. Thank you for sharing.
And it seems that you had a pretty good time.
You flew well.

Thanks for the kind words Bruce. I indeed did have a great time and got in lots of flying. BTW they just posted the final scores. Pretty amazing how incredibly close the scores were for the top 5 fliers.
