Solar servos

Anybody have experience with the "Solar" servo product line? Anybody know who manufactures these servos -- are they the same lower quality as those from HK and the like?

Have many, many Hitecs in use (never a problem) still believe "buy cheap buy twice" but fixed income may force a rethink! I build many of my models so have a little more tied up in them to trust to any old servo.

From some of the reviews they are EXI servo's re-stickered

I have plenty of EXi smaller servo that have been great. I have loads of the 9g digital metal gear servos for $7.70. I replaced my HS-82's with them.

I am ordering the D772 servos for a plane.

There is another thread in the radio section on them

Buzz, thanks for the response. I did a search originally but this thread didn't show. Now have an overload of info !! Seems that a lot of stink plane pilots are using them so should be more reliable with elec.

I am getting them for my Formula 3D. It is an older plane. These servos are way over kill. It is a 60 sized plane and these servo put out 300 ounces of torque. Way more then I need, but for $23.00 hard to pass up. If they are EXI servo's under the stickers and they preform as well as my 9gram EXI digital metal gear servos, they will be great.

I got some and sent them back. They seemed to work ok, but never got installed because the included horns and hardware didn't fit. I think they may have included the hardware for nylon and I got metal gears.
