Electrics must be able to taxi out, take off, and fly the pattern.

Just no hand launch jets.

I wanted to go down but with Gunsmoke the same weekend. I thought the jet rally was later in the month. In years past was it not toward the 3rd weekend of the month?

I'm betting that we will have a fun filled weekend. There will be quite a lot of 5" fans there flying as well as their turbine counterparts. Probably a 50-50 mix of EDF to turbines. Debbie will have some sort of fantastic lunch and dinner for us. We will have fun!

Ugg was going to go out today and take part of this event but when I got up the winds were howling. Currently the winds at the Tucson International Airport are reporting winds SE @ 25mph.....

I live next to TIA, the winds there can be quite different from at TIMPA. It was a bit windy, 10 to 15 mph, but it was straight down the runway most of the day.

Well this was the first Tucson Jet Rally that I have participated in, even though I only have small EDF's, I had a great time, and met a bunch of nice folks. The wind was a little challenging at times, but it made for a little more excitement. I would just like to say thanks to Debbie & Clay for all their efforts, I know it takes a lot of time and effort to put an event like this together but I think from the results, it was a huge success. I am already looking forward to next years event, and hopefully having a larger EDF to go up and play with the big boys
Thanks again for a great event!
