Any news about that voltage thingy on AA23920L ?

I have just opened mine and there are no adjustments to be done via a potentiometer or anything ...

I think that the voltage is set to 12.2V via software ... so if you want to change that, you have to change the software?

Or maybe some fixed value resistor ... ? My work as a communication electronics engineer is long ago, now i'm working as a software engineer ...

Would be really appreciated if anyone figured out how to get this thing to >13.5V!

Just wondering, why would one want 13.5V ? Isn't everything we do based on 12V

Sometimes 12V means 13.5V or 13,8V.
These are sometimes used for powering radio amateur gear, car HiFi etc.
Many chargers will put out more power on a higher voltage, but can't take two in series (24V).

12v "nominal" is based on lead-acid battery technology which is considered fully charged at 12.6 volts (2.1 volts per cell). Car audio and related equipment are usually rated for peak output at 13.5-13.9 volts because this is the "float" voltage provided by the alternator to maintain the battery's state of charge. The equipment may provide additional output when juiced up to 14.8 volts since this is what the alternator can provide for "bulk" charging when the battery is flat or when the system is under heavy use.

Just a bit more info on the Astec 23920 (12V / 236A Power Supply):

I have just found out the key to get more than 12V ... the key is located on the big daugtherboard located in the left side => ADM1041.

This IC (Secondary-Side Controller with Current Share and Housekeeping) is responsible for the Output voltage Regulation.

Tech Sheet: http://www.analog.com/static/importe...ts/ADM1041.pdf

What i now have to find out is, how to increase the Output voltage and make the ADM1041 "think" he has to do 13.5V ...

Problem:

=> I have to find out how to program that Thing ... O.o

I'll Keep you guys updated.

If you get it to work, make sure you post a link to your solution on this thread over on the main reference thread here.
