Whoops!
Any idea about what caused this crash ?

crashshort (0 min 11 sec)

The lipo (nanotech 5000mah 3s 20c) was still good (11.7v) after the crash.
I dont know why but it happened 200m from launching point. Also i dont understand why the failsafe mode didn't do his job cause all was well set. (on the naza and on the frsky rx) I broke many parts and i'm afraid to fly again now....

Any similar crash anybody? What would explain this power suddenly power failure?
Solar disturbance ? Lipo issue ? frsky diy module tx (or rx) defect? Conflict between vtx bevrc 500mw 5.8ghz and naza or rx ?

Thank you

Sounds like a power cut to all motors at once, either your battery connector got loose or one of your solders gave.

Sounds like a brown out... How are you supplying power to the receiver?

When you got to the crash scene, was the battery still connected? If so any life from the electronics?

Is your Frsky system of the telemetry type? Did the module beep at all?

Did you check your battery/powerboard connectors by wiggling them for intermittent connection?

You can hear it coming back on in the video, that's why it sounds like a brown out to me.

That is what it sounds like to me, the props freewheeling backwards during the drop.

And yes, it really does suck. Post crash diagnosis can be difficult.

Was that a Naza with GPS. If it had GPS, I would check the failsafe function. Might need to measure the signals the receiver is actually putting out. A servo plugged in could do it, if you don't have an oscilloscope.
Did act like a range issue.

hello and thank you guys for the replies. Sorry, i dont have replies notification on my email. (dont know why).

Ok, so first of all, the set-up is bumblebee quad, stock motor 930kv and stock prop with 4x rctimer w/simonk 20a esc. I have to say that's no prop failure, nor esc issue. Got naza+gps, frsky diy module in the tx futaba t7cap and v8r7sp rx.

For the FPV, i got the turnigy cam HK 700L and bevrc vtx 500mw 5.8ghz with rc305 vrx. Lipo for quad was Turnigy nano-tech 5000mah 3S 25~50C + lipo for vtx bevrc is Turnigy nano-tech 850mah 3S 25c.

I crashed arround 200-300m away from takeoff....very surprising. It falled on a arm so mounting motor is broken in 3 pieces. Esc is knock-off with the impact, the battery with the impact was unplugged because it's support broke. All the prop are ok.

On my opinion, i couldn't say it's range issue about the distance. For the solders, maybe, but i'd be surprised... What i observed is the area is a track used for some truckers of sand quarry and i know they use CB or some RF com. device that's why i had in the past some top radio failure in the 2.4ghz while flying with my easy star with the vtx in 2.4ghz. And now, it's not anymore my vtx problem (i,m in 5.8ghz) but the 2.4ghz band with the tx frsky that seems to be the problem.

Starting for this explanation, a question comes in mind : I had the failsafe in naza well configured (i even made tes in the past while cuttoff the tx and the quad retrun to home). Why the quad didn't go into fail safe mode? I have to say i disabled the naza lipo protection for many reasons. But if the lipo was dead, it is supposed to stop suddenly all power like this? Dont think so.... The lipo after the crash said 11.7v.

Got a question : Does any device exist that indicates frequencies used in a range from 1mhz to 8ghz, to show if some other devices use the same band frequency than me ? That could be avoid any crash due to RF conflict...
