Did you need a 2-inch by 2-inch piece?

At first, I thought..."wow, he needs a big piece...I don't have anything 2ft square...a ROLL isn't even 2ft wide..."

BUT...if you only need 2 inches square.....no problem.....send me a PM.....
Well, I was just guesstimating. I meant to put 2 ft. I was just saying square to make it easier. I didn't know how big a roll was. I just wanted to make sure that would be enough.

I actually do need pretty much covering. I had to to take off the covering off almost the whole front of my 58" edge. From about the back of the canopy forward on the one side of the fuse.

So, how about 1ft x 2ft? How wide is a roll of covering?

Thanks!

You are looking for nearly a third of a roll. Have you checked with Trains and Lanes in Easton, they may have / can get a roll and it save you shipping.

No, I didn't. I didn't really want to buy a whole roll.

Now that I think about it, I think that 2ft x 1ft will be fine. So that's about 1/6 of a roll.

A roll would leave you with enough to give to the next guy who was short.

Assuming the covering goes on right the first time? Leading edges can be tricky buggers.

I try to buy up covering and piece rolls on RCG when it gets posted, I have never came across anyone letting go of red UC.

I have a quick question, is it ok to charge a Life battery if it's not totally dead? I'm still new to these batts so any info I should know would be nice.
Thanks

Well I thought that my DLE-30 had gone evil on me but turns out it hasn't. Last time I flew it about two weeks ago it died right after popping into a wall/hover about 10 feet up. I thought I was going to loose the plane but somehow, amazingly, I got the plane down with very minimal damage; it didn't even break the prop! It had been difficult to start ever since the TN huckfest, so I figured whatever problem was causing that had gotten bad enough to kill the engine in flight.

Well, I found out the pump in the carb was not pumping very well anymore - and that's what was making it difficult to start. I guess that after pumping roughly 8 gallons of fuel over the last two years the seals were not as tight as they used to be. I ordered a carb kit off amazon for $3 and installed a new pump membrain and valves and now it starts like a champ!

While I was working on the carb I found the problem that caused the dead stick 2 weeks ago. My Rcexel opto kill from ValleyView RC had failed and no longer works reliably. (I have to jiggle the wires to get it to work at all and then it only stays on for a few seconds.) So I installed an extra tech aero ibec I had in my parts box to solve that problem.

So now my 72 is ready to roll again I just need some time to go fly it! BTW Valley View replaced my opto kill for free w/o no questions asked. Pretty awesome service if you ask me. I get all my props from them too. They drill 'em for free.

Had a new experience today. Went over to the field with 6 charged lipos and expecting 6-10 wind based on forecast. Wrong! More like 10 with sustained gusts up to 20. The prudent thing to do would be have to take my 48" epp Yak home and discharge the batteries to storage level. What I did instead is have 6 very fun and exciting flights. Wind was too bouncy to try anything fancy - at times I could keep the plane bouncing around with no forward motion without even going into a harrier! Got the plane down safely each time too, which I felt pretty good about.

OK, so, the new experience. I'd just managed to get the plane down and stopped, when the wind picked up just enough more that the plane actually took off when it was just sitting there! Went up a couple feet, rolled over, and settled into the weeds beside the runway upside down. I wasn't ready for that! No damage. I think I need a heavier plane
