How are they using a AP05 on 2s with the 5043. From my extensive experience with these particular motors, that prop draws closer to 5 amps than 3 and HK says peak current is only 2.8 amps on the AP05, and hovering can only draw more current. Sounds suspect to me.

Testing between 8-10 different models with about 5-6 flights on each in 90 degree weather I have not had any over heating issues or motors fragging. The AP05 because it is smaller does not have the surface area to dissipate and distribute the heat efficiently as compared to larger motors so in that case we have made sure that all our micro airplanes have Naca style cooling underneath the cowling along with other cooling holes in the fuselage along with our open motor compartment design we are able to move the most volume of air throughout the motor compartment as possible while keeping the motor mount rigid, We have also made some other smaller changes such as a large spinner to cut down on the prop disc area etc etc. Alot of focus on the details went into this plane.

In my personal opinion I do believe the AP05 is a little underrated and is capable if sustaining around 3.4amps continuously only with proper cooling, this ap05 setup is not pulling anywhere near the amp draw you had mentioned, the reason we chose this setup is because it is tried and tested in models like the umx beast.

As like any electric plane i do disclaim 15-20 seconds of throttle burst, this is noted on the box and manual. I am using a flightmax 2s 180mah 15c, so if you wish to get longer flight time with a little lower thrust you can use a gws 5x3, this will also cut down on amp draw.

out of the box its designed for performance, with a 180mah it gets a modest 2:30 with a bit of 3d, if you use a 5x3 I know guys who are getting 3:00+

will3d4food ? The DSM2 Compatible 4Ch Micro 2.4Ghz Receiver has only 4 conector holes so how do you conect 4x 1.7g micro Servos and a 6A ESC in to the 4 conector holes

Will a servo Ylead be used?

Will a 6A ESC w/BEC with Molex 3 Pin conectors be available as a part?

Yes our ailerons come with a pre-installed molux y-adapter to plug into a single aileron channel leaving enough space for throttle, elevator, and rudder.

The equipped Turnigy 6amp ESC comes already installed with a molux 1.25 connector.
We will soon have some of our smaller ESC's with the molux 1.25 connector already installed as a part, but this will be a couple weeks from now. In the meantime we will have molux adapters and leads for you to convert your existing servo leads over, this new item will be coming within the next week or so.

I will buy one so long as it is guranteed to always land inverted power on at me in my hand. Hope you never fly in front of whoever insures the AMA (I know youur in China). You must make of a video of that "hover to the wall and then your taxi up and down the wall thing you do".

I couldn't help myself so I bought one...

I was quite peeved that I couldn't use UPS shipping (customer service couldn't explain it and basically told me I am crazy) even though it was clearly under the 1kg limit. EMS is slower and more expensive.

I have been waiting for a micro 3D which will hopefully be more fun than my PKZ UM T-28 but in the same size range.

I will let you guys know what I think of it when EMS (eventually) delivers it.

PS- myself and other are searching for better runtimes...perhaps makeup some 240s' for it? 3 min. runtimes are pretty short.....

Hyperion has a 2s 240mah that weighs 2g more and is actually the same size, just a little thicker. $11 a pop but you get free shipping.
