As I don't, the HD 60C will save a few bucks and does require you to trim the aft canopy area ever so slightly to slip it in and out. Yet, as you can see, the canopy still covers the rear fuselage opening.
Am using some JB quick set weld on the belly as we land on asphalt. Have tried "other" ideas but this is by far working the best.
With this motor/prop/battery setup the Reverb sees 175-180 mph and on its best day, has been @189 mph.

Best.
are you not running a spinner because of heat issues with the motor?
i have this set up in my slopeX. i dont have cooling holes as of yet because everything runs cool on 3s. the esc is a yep 150 amp with the mod done. it runs cool also on 3s.

also did you guys see the new lihv bolt packs at HK. these should be even better when fully charged.

later andrew k.

Our field is in the Southwest desert. Day time temps are hot(95F+ is normal with runway temps getting above 125 F). With the bullet am just trying to get as much airflow in as possible. The motor and battery temps are warm (not hot). The esc runs warm.
I posted a logger a while back. Static amps were 113 and watts 1647. The motor is rated for 85 amps and 1300 watt. So, inflight its close. I did a logger flight which showed rpm, amps & watts but I can't find it.

We have a inferred temp gun. I can't remember exactly what the temps were but will check them again.

Have to look at these new packs.

Best.

Looks good Oly. I like it when people take the time to post the KV so I dont have to look it up. Can I ask a question? Is that a BEC taped to the ESC in the cockpit photo? Not trying to be critical but if at all possible I would try to keep some space between thees two as if the ESC goes it might take out the BEC.

Had a great day with the reverb.pulling 57a static, forgot watts.Soon as I get spin box will be able to chart it.Maiden flight, had bud throw it out, easy launch and needed no trim at all, flew straight.Rolls and loops are tight and turns on a dime with no noticeable wing flex.speed was great but just as prop started singing I had to shut down so never got it full speed,it's fast tho.Landings were very easy, slows down well and drops with spoilerons.all flights put it in the middle of landing field.Great little plane

After about 35 flights on the new Reverb, no problems. with the previously stated power setup, using a temp gun, with a OAT of 85 F, the motors running 110-115 F. The A-spec and HD 60C battery shows 105-115 F. The esc is running 110-115F. These temps are 4-7 secs full on, then around 15 secs off, on then off again type flights.

Best.

Well we had a great run together, but sadly after ~75 flights the Reverb is no more. The wing sheared off and departed in flight at the wing bolt mount. Will order another one this winter
