Can anyone tell me a good prop and prop adaptor for the beast 3d motor? I have it in my mx2 and don't lime the stock prop.

2S JST-PH connector?

Is there an adapter I can get so I can charge/discharge 2S lipos with the JST-PH connector (UMX series) with my Thunder AC6? Or am I stuck using the Eflite charger and have to suffer charging one at a time?

Check rcconnectors website. Or make an adapter yourself.

Mini MX2 with AS3X guts

Got wings hinged and some paint. (tip: don't rush on your paint job, you'll get overspray and lines that don't meet). Hopefully should be installing gear tonight. May even install cf in the elevator.

Hobby King sells one that parallel charges 6 batteries at a time.

Hey guys, how are the tiny servos you are using in the mini's ( the ones FF sells in their package) holding up using 2 cells? HK"s website says they are single cell, 5 volts max>>

For the adapter go to Shapeways:

It's bullet proof almost...
5030 prop works well. I am working on a way to modify the Shapeways part to make a prop saver out of it- I will post pictures.

After an unavoidable week-and-a half visit to NYC for work, I finally got to sit down on a rainy day and finish painting and assembling my Mini MX2.
Thanks, Mike for helping out with lost parts! Radio and gear tonight when the glue is dry!

Got back from the Toledo show this week. The Mini kits were a big hit. It motivated me to get the paint templates done for the MX2. They are now on the site painted. The Fenix will be done soon but first I am working on a Mini version of the Raptor.

Gear installed on the Mini MX2:
Spektrum SPMAS6410NBL receiver w/ AS3X
2030LO servos on ailerons
2030L servos for rudder and elevator
180 BL 3000kv motor
5030 prop
home made prop adapter/prop saver
nano-tech 300 2S

Maiden flight was a blast! Plenty of power, vertical snaps straight on up. Stable as can be with the AS3X. I bought the USB plugin programmer and downloaded the full software for it so I can tune it a little if I need to, but it also allowed me to set up to turn AS3X on and off with channel 5. Second landing cracked the propeller on one side and that blade departed on the third launch. Today I fabricated a prop saver out of the hub of the broken propeller. I will post pictures of it next.

Eflite 180 prop saver/prop adapter.

After breaking a prop on the maiden of my Mini MX2 and not being able to find a prop saver for the E-flite 180 motors, I decided to fabricate my own. I took the hub of the broken propeller, cut off the blades, center drilled it through in four steps from 1/32" to 7/64". Then I tapped it to #6x32 threads and epoxied it onto a UMX Beast prop adapter so that about 1/16" sticks out of the front to act as center pin for the propeller. Then I used blue thread lock to hold 2 #6-32 x 1/4" electrical face plate screws in place for the retainer o-ring to fit around. A 3/4" Viton o-ring does the trick well.

Thanks, I am going to have one of my CAD wizard friends draw this up for me and try to 3D print it on Shapeways.

Chaz, Thanks for your post on the CC thread. This looks like the guts of a CC. How are you dealing with the offset aileron servos?

The flat wing mini needs the offset servos to keep yaw under control in a roll. The down aileron creates more drag than the up aileron in a turn. When you build the bigger versions of the Fancy Foam kits they include or recommend an offset servo horn.
