Just love this and have to share it...

A guy at work just approached me to buy a coax helicopter for him. We talked in person and then he sent me an email as follows:

Can you please order this for me Friday or next week (I'm not in a hurry), if you won't mind? The reason is, I don't want to use my credit card (or else my wife would know) because my wife think it only cost $29.99. I'll bring the $130 tomorrow.

I did the PayPal thing for him and pocketed the $130 so my wife wouldn't find it. We need to start a MRCPA (Married RC Pilot's Association). Been laughing all day.

That is funny!
What I think however, at some point you have to "man it up"! Why are you afraid to admitt what you really did? Don't they (wives) spend on hair, waxing, make-up, nails, etc!
Provided your bills are paid and your family provided for, I see no reason to hide.
Besides, how are you going to show that Porche to her, if you you're afraid?
She won't buy it, if you tell her "it's only $29.99, honey"!!

Read advice in RCG some time back where it was suggested to have same color scheme on all models so you could add to hanger undetected. Kinda like that one...

I work at one of the major shippers so I just pick up my packages at work and sneak them in. Of course my wife was sitting in my man cave with me the other night and counted 5 RC cars and said how many of these do you have now! She missed the sixth one behind the speaker. Oh, and the cute 1/18 on the way from Hobbyking!

them wimmin folk are not all that dumb, sooner or later they catch on and then they know ya lied to em .... alot easier just to tell em ya bought it and take the whoopin for the purchase only.
easy way around it is to make sure ya buy something for her too.

It's always easier to ask for forgiveness rather than permission

well, I got better

Sorry Nute, not sure if you are sick of that skit

It is sad when we have to hide something. Wifey and my paypal account is in wifeys name so she gets all the emails. It actually keeps me in check....a bit

That's true, but my money is our money and pays for the house, cars and bills. Her money is her money. She doesn't say crap to me or I'll start asking for her paychecks.

C'mon guys. If you have to hide the R/C expenses, then there's something wrong with the relationship. If the relationship does not add to your life, then why are you in it? Sit her down and work it out.

Really, are we two years old after all?

I think many of these post are tongue in cheek and a little exaggerated for fun. The Internet equivalent of "water cooler" guy talk about their women. I wouldn't take things so serious.
