To place on the planes I use good ole masking tape. Over the delicate Velcro. Even the Velcro supplied by horizon hobby may not work best. Sometimes you have to press down. I rather make a band. Enjoy the video. Showing a flight with the geese with the. Kc808 #16 lens d and A

Sad that you need to go through all of that to be able to record video.

#16 at 40deg 1 flight of 10 min 2nd flight stops mid air.
Hk wing cam better cam to me anyway as you know its recording every time wider fov a plus, and same or better vid quality. plus be able to record 6 flights without the bat craping out due to somewhat cold weather.

Hello everyone!

I want to thank everyone for being so informative and helpful since I got my camera 5 days ago! I downloaded the GUI, updated the time stamp, and have been enjoying my first video camera since.

I have a question though. While filming, the footage seems to intermittently jerk and twitch like the framerate drops really low. Is this normal? Does it have something to do with the .mov file format? I have just been plugging the camera up to my computer and playing the files on the windows media player. I have not converted the files tsnag other format yet.

I read back over the last 15 or so pages as well as the first several pages of the thread and saw no mention of a similar problem. I hope I am not bringing up a problem that has been fixed multiple times before but short of reading all 715 pages that I haven't read so far, I wanted to try posting here first.

Hopefully I'm not stepping any toes by asking!

Thank you guys for any advice or help

And that review is dated June 2011, before the #16 was even available! Most of the "disadvantages of the HD keychain" camera he was using for comparison (must have been a #11) have long been eradicated and surpassed when the #16 was released and updated extensively with on-going FW releases over the past year.

The poster apparently didn't know much about the configurability of the #16 since it has a recording indicator LED that can be toggled on by the user, along with dozens of other tweaks. Plus three different lenses, including a wide angle lens that is similar in AOV but sharper than the HK lens in that sample photo in the article. The cold weather reduced capacity plagues all lipos, but it would be trivial to add a larger battery and shrink wrap it to the camera like the HK camera if necessary, or better yet, power it from an ESC BEC or UBEC and eliminate the extra weight.

TIP: If the first several pages don't address your question, try using the "search this thread" link in the header. E.g. search on key word "jerky".

This has come up numerous times, and is normally due to your video player's efficiency during playback, which can also depend on your PC's resources. Try playing with the free VLC player... it usually eliminates the issue on some PCs with this problem.

Recorded my first video yesterday! It was a bit too windy but I wanted to try. It was way nose heavy and the trim maxxed out after just a few clicks so decided to land. The wind pushed it at me and my son so I stalled it left to avoid us. No biggie because it was going very slow and just popped the wing off. Second attempt at sunset was too dark for good video. It was a blast and will try more today. Thanks for all y'all's help! Enjoy and make fun if you like

Just looking at the the "external power" post in the FAQ. Is this still up to date? I noticed the Just Mobile Gum Pro is still rather ridiculously priced.

"SpiderWire" is simply a brand of fishing line, it's a braided product, not a monofilament type. It's very strong, very flexible, and not as prone to breakage if it's kinked.
