K. Edgerton "King Harry" BritPlan Build off January 2013 - June 2013
Ive always heard that the King Harry is one of the best FAC 2 Bit plus One planes and Ive always wanted to build one. This is as good a time as ever! So here we go. I sortof forgot about th build off and started early so the hstab and sub rudder are finished. I will be using printed domestic tissue. Ive always like the looks of checkered tissue so I drew the checker pattern in Google Sketchup. The squares are 1/2". More to come. Nevermind the water on the plan its to take some of the "I dont want to bend that way" out of the longerons. Hopefully it works. More to come.

And this is where I am now. I like working with 3/32 it's a welcome break from 1/16. And 1/16 is a welcome break from my usual size of choice of 1/32 square for indoor duration jobs. Im still deciding on a trim scheme. Obviously yellow checker (I like checkers too) on the tail but I want to include some checkered orange somewhere maybe on the wingtips. Any ideas?
