Funcup as towplane
You do not have to spend a fortune on a towplane.
A Multiplex funcup do it really well.
With a few improvements, and the right engine setup its a great little towplane.
1. Better motor mount.
2. Stronger towhook, fixed with wire around the mainspar, or else it will be pulled out of the wing
(The original is ok for small foam gliders)
Then your ready.
Incredibly easy to fly, and worth every penny.
My setup is:
Turnigy Aerodrive SK3 - 3542-1185kv
100 Amp ESC
4 cell 4000 Mha 40 c battery.
It pull 75 Amp 1200 Watt.
And it pull my 3,1 kg 3,20 meter F3b all GFK glider, - 3 meter Fox, - 3,6 meter Nimbus from the ground.
or 4 foam gliders at a time.
I Think this is max size gliders for the funcup.
For saving the motor, I only use full power at the first few second of the take off.
3,6 meter Nimbus.
The next videos was with a smaller motor

Glider towing with Multiplex Funcup. Due to heigh grass and soft ground + the heavy 4 meter glider, the towplane needed a little start help.
Normal procedure is that the helper runs to the side, but when he saw we were filming he got the stupid idea to throw himself to the ground. Fortunately, the glider took off at the last second.
Imagine him at the hospital with a 4 meter glider stuck, where the sun dont shine
