Hey all,

Been looking around the net, and I did see some magazine did build one a while ago but haven't seen much else about them. Has anyone here ever built one? If you have would you mind sharing photos of your beast?

I've been thinking of building one but don't have the time or skills currently to do a scratch build from balsa/ply but would consider doing one from foam if not too hard (shouldn't be given how box-shaped the GA8 is).

I like GA planes, keen to see more Australian ones flying. I've even seen a few RC Victa Airtourers!

Here is a link to some plans for a rubber powered free flight model by Derek Buckmaster. Nice little model and one or two of his other design have been enlarged for radio control.

Thanks for the advice guys. I had thought of emailing the factory but wasn't sure if I needed to go that far. That PDF is brilliant, gives me a fair idea of how it may take shape out of foam. All I need now is to build a foam cutter (every other foam thing I've made has been out of depron sheet).

You have to model this one. It's the first Aussie made plane to fly around the world. It was a charity flight to raise money to combat malaria. There was a series of articles in Australian Flying recently.
