Neat idea.

Paul, you might be interested to hear that I gave that wing with the folded spar some test flights on my correx Q-Tee. Despite looking a bit warped and having that 'step' on one side, it flew very well...maybe even better than the original balsa and film wing, despite being 50% heavier. Strength wise it was fine for a ~400g plane, but I don't think it would be strong enough for anything larger or heavier.
