Do You kiss Your TX before take off/launch?

I've seen on many videos that RC pilots are kissing their TX before take off
or hand launch.

Is this common habit among RC pilots?

To me it looks a bit funny and I begin to understand why discussiong about
which radio system is best turn into religious ...

I also would like to urge those who support this habit to kiss their RX, because
if kissing the TX helps I'm pretty sure the RX is jealous ...

I suppose it's safer than kissing the spinner

I just hope the plane doesn't kiss the ground.

My preflight ritual is to check that the control surfaces are working properly, just for luck.

I'm fairly certain that what you are seeing is the pilot increasing the throttle with his mouth before hand launching

+1. It's the easiest way to get the power on with one hand for the model and one for the Tx

I'm glad someone cottoned on ... I've had a few beers and I was begginning to wonder if a new Cult had sprung up !

I know I usually flex the knees ... shrug the shoulders a few times ... look heavenward and ask for "No crashes .. please" ... watch my videos and you'll see me playing "to the camera"...

I can't throw with my left at all so I just give some up trim and keep my left hand on the throttle and rudder. It gets a little hairy sometimes... never crashed from it though.
