10th Annual Arizona Electric Festival




Be sure to mark your calenders to attend the 10th Annual Arizona Electric Festival! Easily the biggest electric fly-in in the West!




  • 2.4 GHz radios only
  • Helicopter only from 10-10:30 AM & 2-2:30 PM each day
  • Power Stations Available
  • No Camping (but dry camping available within a mile)
  • Pilot's raffle included with registration
  • Food Service onsite
  • Large selection of vendors onsite
  • Night Fly on Friday night
  • Noontime airshow on Saturday




Cost:
$35.00 registration fee gets you in all four days plus the pilot's raffle if preregistered before 1/10/2014, or $40.00 to register at the event
$6.00 per car per day to enter to spectate, if not a pilot, vendor, or sponsor

Dates:
Thursday through Sunday January 23-26th, 2014

Times:
Flying 8AM - 5PM Thursday through Saturday
Helicopter only from 10-10:30 AM & 2-2:30 PM each day
Night Fly 6:30PM to 10PM Friday
Flying 8AM to 2PM Sunday

Location:
Superstition Airpark

RV Camping:
Dry camping available at nearby rodeo grounds, $10 per day, please see Camping Information. No outside open fires, keep the area clean, and no alcohol outside of the RV. Directions, from the intersection of Brown Rd and Meridan Rd., take Meridian north 2/10 of a mile to the second sign on the left. Take the driveway after the sign, thru the gate to the open area and park. You can also park in the area next to the street. This area is located about 3/4 of a mile from the event.

FPV is allowed at this show, the following guidelines apply:

We will enforce all existing AMA rules in this regard, plus the following stipulations...

FPV on Thursday and Friday only.FPV will not be allowed on Saturday or Sunday.
Downlink to be other than 2.4 GHz.
Aircraft must fly visually prior to FPV flight.
Spotter is mandatory and must be proficient with type of aircraft.
Flight duration will be limited to 10 minutes.
CD will schedule time of day and pilot flight line location.
AEF reserves the right to administer the guidelines and insure a safe operation.
