Carl Goldberg 1/2a plans
Hi All !
I'm looking for plans to some CG 1/2a planes like the Lil Toot, Lil Satan and the like. Can't seem to find any. I am wiling to pay. Any suggestion anyone?? |

Brodak sells a lil toot kit, the jr. satan plan is available at hippocketaeronautics.com, free download. You could easily downsize it for 1/2a

Google vinplandex, go there search on lil satan, you will find it, a bit rough but usable. I would post the link but I am using an ipad and that ain't easy to do

I just pmed you some carl goldberg free tiled plans if you cant find what you need i have plenty other free sites for you to look at, just let me know.

Just checked the Brodak site . He has both the Lil Toot and Lil Satan kits

Does anyone have PDF plans for my first build, the CG Swordsman 18? I learned to build and fly with it about 35 years ago, and I would now like to teach my young son how to build and fly it now. I know Brodak has redone the kit, but I would like to build it from plans if I can find some. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Not really worth building from a plan.. The kit is cheap and complete.

Skaliwag, thanks for the opinion I'm aware of the Brodak kit, and disagree that it's "cheap", especially after shipping and I actually enjoy cutting my own parts for simple airframes like this one as well as a handful of RC foamies I've built. Let me know if you come across a PDF of the plans though, thanks.

I'm not sure about Brodak, but Goldberg's solid wing kits plans weren't full size. Basically they just showed assembly instructions. As for scratch building you can use the website that I posted in the control line section on this and just build a Stunt Chimp and shape the stab, rudder and wing like the Swordsman. I totally agree with you on the price thing. Sig sells the sheet wing Skyray for 15 bucks whick is more reasonable. 40 or so bucks for a shipped 1/2 A sheet wing plane that has 10 bucks worth of wood is crazy.

Rubbernecker, thanks I have the Stunt Chimp plans now, and I also found the Skyray online which I'm considering as well. I have an RC project to finish now, but I think my next project will be one of these CL planes. Thanks again.
