Quadrotor power system
I am currently in the process of building a quad-rotor. I just wanted to check to see if these parts would work well together. Hobbyking support wasn't very helpful.

Your selected motor is totally overloaded with your selected prop and a 3S Lipo. The motor weight is
24 gram. A motor with 24 gram is able to handle about 24 gram * 3W/gram, that means an input power
of about 72 W. I would use your motor only with a 2S Lipo. In the attachment i have a calculation for a 2S and a 3S Lipo.
The input power of the motor is shaft power / (motor efficiency / 100). With 2S your quadrocopter will have a
max thrust of about 1.2 kg (2.6 lbs). That means that the AUW of your quadrocopter should not exceed 0.45 lbs
for a good performance.
