Love it.

Twisted Hobbys 30-inch EPP Crack Wing - a VERY cool plane.
First time for me with a plane that performs:
- "Rocket ship" take off under full control
- Outside loops as tight as inside loops.
Slows down real nice too. Love this plane.

A question:
How will the flight characteristics change if I add the SFGs.

prop saver

Tired of dinging your prop on landing?
Add a "Nike Swoosh" prop saver cut from EPP foam sheet.
No noticeable difference in flight performance for me.

I have found that if you use the recommended CG point it will stay level at all throttle settings. While inverted you will have to push, but it is completely predictable. It does not seem to need the "noticable" amount reflex that a Zagi or other similar wing requires.

This is a bit of an old thread but thought I'd ask here. I just built and flew a 30" crack wing. It flies nice but find it needs quite a bit of up elevator/reflex. Also, the amount of reflex it needs lessens as you increase throttle. Before I start mixing elevator and throttle, I wanted to ask others about the issue.

My CG is spot on or perhaps even a little tail heavy as I tried to compensate. Definitely not nose heavy. Just wondering if anyone had any advice.
Thanks

If you have the CG located as per the manual than dial in reflex as needed for level flight. It has been a while since I flew mine, but I don't remember anything unusual about the maiden flight.

This thread coming back to life made me dig mine back out. Had a blast flying it yesterday while others were grounded. It's impressive how much wind this lightweight can handle.

I was surprised by the wind handling as well. It flies as though it has a stabilizer on it. Much easier to take off from the vertical position than I thought it would be as well.

Now I can't wait for indoor season.

Has anyone found a 3s power combination that they like for this wing? I'd like to get a Crack Wing, but all my batteries are 3s and I'd like to stay standardized around that.

I use this motor:
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...Outrunner.html

In my Club we use this motor in all indoor planes also the C wing.
And we run it on 3 cell with 8x4 prop and 12 amp esc
Never burn a motor.

And it can tow a dlg glider with this set up:

Tow wing (Crackwing) (1 min 9 sec)
