Got the bottom of one panel fully sheeted. Next will be the wheel cutout and mounting the servos to the covers. I intend to make some paper tubes that'll go inside the wing for servo and motor leads similar to the ones I made for the tail but a bit smaller. Those will run through the existing lightening holes in the ribs.

Thanks Mike. Been real busy at work lately but I've been trying to at least get something glued, shaped or sanded each evening. I think I'll start getting the othe wing panel to the same point as this one since it's still just a frame and then go from there.

Got the nacelle stringers and formers dry fit together. Also got the left main gear cutouts done and the gear working. Flap and aileron servos have been mounted to the covers, paper tube conduits installed and the leads run.

One down. Three to go. Still needs some finish sanding and some lightweight balsa filler for some small imperfections.

Looking really good on that Nacelle Tim. You had the pre-cut planks for the nacelles is that correct? Remember your going to still need a little filler once the nacelle is on the wing to fair it in. I am liking the looks it is taking. I need to get busy with mine and get it built.

Mike,

There were no precut planks in my kit. I wasn't aware that there was supposed to be any either. I made my own planks with a balsa stripper and they were all hand sanded and fitted. Might explain why it took me three evenings to plank one nacelle.

And now back to our regularly scheduled program. After a bunch of work related delays, visits from relatives, the holidays, sick kids, the missus and myself getting both the flu and an eye infection etc. I'm happy to be back to the usual grind. Not a lot to report as of now but I did manage to get a good portion of the fuselage planked over the last few evenings as well as the steering servo mounted with its linkage to the nose wheel.

AH the joys of planking. Once in the zone they planks seem to lay themselves into place and the outside world no longer invades ones senses
