Walkera V400D02 / E Sky Belt CP conversion
Maybe someone can point me in the / a direction of " HOW TO !!"
I want to remove the complete RC system from a Walkera V400D02, and fit it to a E Sky Belt CP.
A) Start, B) What to do, C) And how.
I am pretty good with the electronic side of this venture, and have experence with Radio Control.
Can't wait for guidance.

I'm using the guts from a Wasp V3 in my HK250GT and it
Now is as good a time as any to learn this stuff. It took me
about a week of reading and trial and error before I figured
Do they both have the same head design? If so, it should drop
right in, I would think. Just do the normal setup as you would any heli,
double check your servo reversing and servos are plugged in to correct
channels. And if your swash is different, select accordingly.
Set up your pitch and throttle curves and set up the blade pitch and gyro,
and check your blade tracking.
I know there is more, but can't think of it.
Make sure the blades are removed for initial testing. in case
something is set wrong.

Thank you for your reply, i am sure there is a lot of differences between the two units.
A) Walkera, Flybarless. E Sky - Flybar.
B) Walkera, Brush motor. E Sky - Brushless
C) Walkera Tail rotor RPM control - E Sky Belt driven - Pitch control.
D) Walkera 3 Axis gyro - E Sky 1.
Is there another communication medium Egg. E-Mail I can then send you pictures.

It's a very cool idea, but it may not be worth the effort and expense. Here's a list of things you would need to overcome:
1. The Walkera integrated 3 axis gyro/receiver does not have provisions for handling a belt drive tail. You would need to replace the entire unit and get the components from the V450D01. That will be a major expense. You could also buy all separate components and set it up yourself.
2. The mainshaft is not the same diameter and doesn't have provisions for attaching the drive belt gear. You may get around this with some clever fabrication, hard to say.
3. The stock servos are crap and should be upgraded, regardless.
The basic problem with such a conversion is you really aren't salvaging anything but the head. You could sell the entire V400D02 and buy an aftermarket flybarless head that's better quality. I've been trying to come up with a way to salvage more of the Walkera components, but I'm not coming up with anything that looks promising.
