The razor will spank the a20 and give back change Get a good box from Top Creations in 5.33 ratio or so you can swing 12x6 12x8 13x6.5. Inrunners are inherintly more effecent so you get more power for every whatt .

Huge fan of the 2500 here. On my 1st 2500 I have 300+ flights that average around 17 mins and the thing is still going strong. I am now flying mine at 4.85:1 with a 12X6 E prop on either TP1320PL of 2100 GII or PL's. The GII and 1320 I am pulling around 18A and the 2100PL I am pulling around 21A. Makes my Stella look like a saturn V launching out of a hover.

Cheers,
Jim

Mathew has closed down Razor motors (temporarily we hope) - NE Sailplanes (www.nesail.com), among others, may have some.

Razor 2500..

Yes,lets all wish and pray Matt a speedy, complete recovery. The 2500 is a very efficient powerhouse,I heard of 'em being pushed to 300 watts...(No,I won't be trying that with mine, thanks)has anyone ever used the H-2 Razor..??Same size as the 2500 but with 4100 KV...I think the 2500 is 3850 KV.

Thats bad news . My next choice would be the NeuMotor model 1100 , It is a little heavier but handles up to 350 whatt burst and has a more robust construction .

If anybody reading this thread would be interested in a NIB Razor 2500, I have one mounted in a WON Custom gear box that uses GWS gears.

Tram, the Himax 2025-4200 is a higher wattage motor (~175W listed, can push to?), not really the same class as the Razor 350. I would say that the smaller Himax 2015-4100 is an inefficient, cheap chinese attempt at a ripoff of the Razor 350. Also, I push 150W through my Razor 350 (rated at ~100W or so?) with GWS 12x6SF at 6.6:1, and I greatly prefer it over my 2015-4100 in the same application. Runs much cooler, and it weighs significantly less. The 2025-4200 is a bloody boat anchor.

I greatly prefer the Razors, if you can get 'em!
