It's been a while since the last update... Been busy lately, so i haven't got done much. But now the plane is ready. Just have to wait until it stops raining...

All wires are soldered and esc installed. All the decals are on, but i don't think they will last very long because they don't stick very well. If so, i'll just paint the plane

Here are some pics:

Since it seams you have a little time before you fly, try to spray your airplane with
some water based urethane clear like the one from Minwax.
This will keep the white foam cleaner and will seal the decals so they don't peel off.
I find this works out great!
Thanks, Richard

I don't understand it either. HobbyKing now carries it, but won't ship to USA and people are writing in, begging to ship to US. And here, we have revealed 2 places that will ship to US.

So far, PW-RC is the winner, IMO. Although, it's about $300 shipped compared to about $270 from Norway, it comes with floats and it looks like the color is painted on...at least partially.

Well, I couldn't resist and ordered one from PW-RC. I don't have a pond nearby, but I will have snow this year so the floats will be used during the winter. $307 US with EMS Shipping for the PNP version. Will let you know how it arrives in Maryland in about 5 days....

Q: What is the magnet for on the wing:

Cheers,
Steve

It's not a magnet. It's the main wing spar. Don't know why they made a hole there...

I am also thinking of getting this plane. It looks really nice.

I cannot wait for a test flight update.

I have 3 different props: 12x6, 13x8 and 14x7. The last one was included when i got the kit. I will try 12x6 first. First of all because i'm not sure how many amps my setup can handle, and because the prop fits the motor shaft without any drilling.

Did you buy the kit with included motor/esc or did you get the motor/esc yourself?
