Stark dlg

Dmitriy Lomovtsev of www.ldmodels.com in Russia.

I'll post more about this one when it's flying, Thanks for another great DLG Oleg.
After making a round trip to Russia and back to the US, the Starks finally made it here.

Overall, it's impressive so far. Fuse is made to take 2-285's, spreadtow over uni (43g), integrated stab mount.

CG is about 81mm, Dmitriy likes flying his models at 84-85mm
I'm going to try a Life 2s pack unregulated 6.6v nominal
atx 94802 servos in the wing, as I mentioned 2-285 on the tails

Spreadtow Dbox (116g)
I just put the topdrive in the wing, and completed the airframe tonight. It's an easy assembly. Here's a few pictures of the STARK!

Flight reports will come down the road, if it's better than the A2, I'll absolutely love this one.

The airfoil on the stab is fairly symmetric, meaning that a flat side doesn't really exist. Must be the camera angle...

Saw this beauty in person, she is very very nice! If it flies the same or better than the A2 (with a wing 20g lighter....), this will be one hell of an airplane!

Eric, you sure did not waste any time before starting the build.
Did the wire channels work out OK? I presume you did not take any close up pics of the servo install, or did you?

Dmitry tells me that recommended CG is about 81mm, he likes flying his models at 84-85mm.

No close ups, sorry.

I'll take detailed pictures of the servos installed, not done just yet.

The measurement of 50mm from the leading edge to 80mm out from the root, worked perfectly. The wire channels were easy to find and were centered in the pocket.

The wire channel at the root was clear on one side and blocked with splooge for about +-10mm on the other. I was able to clear the blockage with the rotary tool on the other without much drama.

The damaged tip was fixed using some epoxy splooge and lite glass, of course, elbow greese was required to get it smooth. I'm happy with the strength of the tip and that it's nice and flat again.

More later,
Eric

When I read the title I was envisioning something made by Tony Stark and to be used in the next Iron Man movie. I was happily surprised to see it didn't have a palladium core arc reactor in the middle of it. Gotta love that Hulk green, though.

I'm pretty sure this wing can be used to travel comfortably at speeds up to Mach 3.

All kidding asside, that's a sweet looking plane and I love the color. It reminds me of my B3 that is the same color.... In fact, the Stark might make a nice stable mate. Hum.... Looking forward to reading a flight report.
