Parkmaster 3d hinge gap HELP!

Building my first foamie (Parkmaster 3d) and I'm to the part where I need to start attaching the ailerons, rudder, and elevator but I don't see anywhere how large the gaps in the hinges should be. Also, when glueing the hinges in, do I put glue on the hinge then stick it in, or stick the hinge in first then just glue around it?

The gap should be as little as possible and still have movement.

Put the hinges in and install the control surface, then put a couple drops in each hinge and
do both sides. Make sure the ends are lined up before gluing.
