Starting NanoMirage - 6mm Depron ok?

Well I decided to start the NanoMirage - I cut the whole thing out of 6mm Depron because I had lots of it, then got to thinking that since it calls for 3mm Depron, maybe I should scrap the pieces and recut with 3mm??
What would be the practical problem if I stuck with 6mm??
I'm using a Feigo 5800kv, GWS 40 EDF, 850 3s lipo. I weighed the cut out 6mm parts and they weighed 1.5oz so I'd save 3/4 of an oz. if I went to 3mm, but perhaps there are other factors that I don't know about that would effect how this flies...
Please advise!

With the 6mm Depron your airframe weighs right at twice as much as it will with 3mm. 3/4 ounce is quite a lot of extra weight.

Yup, thats 20g more...so may affect performence, but if you sanded the nano mirage you could make it more curvy..ergo scale(ish).
Just a thought

Ok, thanks. I went ahead and recut for 3mm. If Scott says it, I do it, that's it!

I'll save the 6mm for my curvy scale one after I crunch my prototype beyond recognition.
As soon as I start piecing it together I'll start a build thread for all the guys like me who need LOTS of pictures...
