On another note, I've pretty much narrowed down my next plane! I just have to decide on a color scheme for the 44" Telink. The Edge, or the Slick... hmmmm
What about the new 330 that will be coming out soon?

Ehh... I like SFGs and more floaty flight characteristics. But I am keeping my eye on that one...

I was actually going to ask about SFGs. If you look at the picture on the TH site for the red 330 scheme with all the parts laid out you can see 4 white pieces of foam to the left of the wing. Are those SFGs?

I didn't notice those before... look like mid-wing SFGs!

I wouldnt trust dynam anything in a plane. You're better off with a 40 plush.

I might just go with a power combo... piecing together a system is a headache

Maybe the 48" combo for the 44" slick... hmmm

Yeah. The 48" and 44" are really only good for like 40" planes if you want good power. Ex., the 48" motor is pretty much the equivalent to an Omega 72g which is used in 40-41" 3DH planes. Its a good deal for the quality and the fact that brad will fix anything that goes wrong.

There are a lot of folks that say that the Dynam, Proton, and Plush ESCs are just rebadged Hobbywing ESCs (all use the same programming card). That said, I have moved to Hobbywing Platinum ESCs (different from the regular Hobbywing ESC and uses a different programming card) as my go to ESC for most applications. You can set the SBEC output to 6v to get more speed and torque from your servos.

Well, I just finished putting everything together...

44" Extra Slick
Aluminum motor mount (I know I'll crash a lot )
78g 1100kv outrunner from TH
Exceed RC 40A proton ESC
New Power XL-9HMB servos (42oz/in of torque @ 4.8V!!! MG, and only $6!)
4x Sky Lipo 3s 1600mAh 40C

Looks like I'm all set.
