Finally got to the bottom of my TX problem. I had one bad rx which would cause binding problem for all the other RX's.Originally I thought it was a faulty tx,and was using 3 rx's for testing but after removing one RX out of the testing, all my problems have gone. Back to brand new.

Can the Rangeling antenna be used with Chainlink? I would need a longer antenna than the standard one and only Rangelink system has longer antennas in the rangepiloting shop.

Why don't you build IBCrazy's Turnstile. Super easy, Cheap and superior to the stock dipoles IMHO. You probaly have the parts lying around, Piece of wire I used #18 and sma connector you can be in business today. Order the upgrade whip if you don't beleive me and when it arrives compare it to your $2 turnstile.

I asumed the poster queried for the transmitter antenna albeit in theory one could build a turnstyle for this too. The turnstile is great, but there is one thing one should be aware off. It's horizontally polarized, meaning that one must have the transmitter antenna horizontally too, and here is the all important thing. If you fly out all to your side, you fly into the null of the transmitter antenna when holding it horizontally. If one is aware of this and turns arround apropriately, then the turnstyle is a great solution.

Markus: Do you mean the horizontal polarisation is an issue when one uses the Turnstile as a transmitter antenna? If I use it as a receiver antenna with the stock Chainlink transmitter and antenna, should I be worried about the polarisation issue?

Another question: I have 2.4GHz video system at the moment, but I have understood Chainlink may have a problem with 1.2/1.3GHz video systems noise wise? I am planning to by that system as well and I have understood there is less noise problems with Rangelink and 1.2/1.3GHz video systems.

Am I right and is Chainlink usable with 1.2/1.3GHz video systems at all?

He means that if you use turnstile, you have to orient your Tx antenna horizontally
and that makes it easier to accidentally fly into the nulls off the ends of the Tx antenna
if you don't turn to face the plane.

The stock Tx antenna and stock RL dipole is just fine for 99% of FPV flying. I see little
extra value in the turnstyle.

this is the old firmware, i will upgrade my rangelink soon.
i have also ezuhf and apart some feature that rangelink don't has, i'm sure that this is the best value lrs
