Just a few ideas toget you going:

Have you downloaded the the USB device driver from the vendors site and install it.

Do you see the "com" port in Windows Device manager, when you plug the included USB cable into the computer?.

Have you sent the baud rate to 19200 for the coms port, through the Windows device manager

Have you pressed the connect button in the DOS configuration software with the correct com port and baud rate.

Have you press the READ parameters button to download the data from the DOS device

I did before
But since the fy dos has nothing to do with your video
Is there no wiring between them
Only fy dos to rx and servos
Ezosd to cam and vtx

I contacted Readymaderc about this,(tried emailing Feiyu, came back as non delv) and Feiyu said that yes you will need a 5v GPS. I solved the problem by putting 2 diodes in the pos feed wire, seems to work fine.

Thanks for the info and the great diodes solution, can you detail where you bought the 5v output DOS version? Since Readymaderc seems to sell the 3v version according to their website pictures

My inquiry

According to the following FeiYu notice the DOS module is supply 5v to the GPS module.

1. Please confirm that the DOS you sell is the 5v supply version (the product picture is display the 3v version)
2. In case that in the future I would like to buy additional GPS, do you sell the 5v GPS as stand alone module?

Thanks,

How is the FY-DOS compared to the FY30? In terms of Stability. I have my DragonOSD for return to home and waypoints etc.

The heading hold feature has me intrigued.

Got it worked by setting baud rates in driver setup.

Hey Guys,

I've tried fy dos today. My plane is an axn floater jet.
When I activate the rth sometimes I feel that the GPS loses the way.
For example, when I'm over 500 meters the plane rotates in the opposite direction and doesn't lock to home.
However if I'm in the 200 meters sometimes i get better positioning.

Did you have this experience too ?

Hey Guys..

Installed my FY DOS with gps in my new skywalker 2013 with carbon rod.
I installed it only with double adhensive tape, and tried all levels of throttle for half a battery pack, 4s 5000mah to see any vibration to the fy dos. NO no problems at all, didnt even balance my graupner prop 12x6 or the motor. Fy dos is alot less sensitive to vibration then Fy 31ap.
Now I dont have to worry about one of the wires pulling the autopilot in any direction and making "false" direction

First off, does it stabilize well? If it does, than the unit is working.

If it seems not able to find its way 'home', then maybe there's not enough throw on your aileron servos. Just extend the length of your servo arm so that the ailerons move more when RTH is activated.
Worked for me.

Cheers,

BB

Gain was set to 70 for ailerons. It's maybe the contrary... I'll try default setup next time and keep you updated.
