Armature or Field ??

hello guys:

I have a question about Electrical Motors, for reversing the direction of the motor or the rotation although I dunno what's the different between the both......

the question is( Why it's better to reverse the polarity in The Armature windings than The Field Windings?)

I hope the reply as soon as u can cause I need it 2day//

Sorry, but these are DC motors we use for RC aircraft, not AC motors. There are no armature and field windings. Instead we have magnets and stator windings.

I suspect this may not be an RC related question
With field wound (universal) motors, you reverse the relative polarity of the brush input and the field winding to reverse the motor direction, regardless of whether the input is AC or DC.
