Touch-ups I just brush full strength. Spray, I thin about 4/1 with windex (not water!) dries faster and sticks better.

Yes, I am using the guac on the underside. picture showing how well it matches below. It still needs one more coat to get rid of the brush strokes. Painted is the brown elevator joiner.

With the price reduction on the Hurricane, I thought I would collect my setup for folks just starting out. I have attached a document of all the settings, dual rates, and tips that helped me. Many of them come from this thread.

I walked into my local HobbyTown with 300 bucks in my pocket after having sold a nitro truggy, my last RC car. I walked out of the store with the E-Flight Hawker Hurricane for the princely sum of..........................$109.00. I couldn't believe it. They had two and when the guy in back of me in the cashier line heard that he bought the other one on the spot. I have her built and ready to maiden. It is just an AWESOME looking plane.

I've been watching his videos as well. Picked up my retracts yesterday from LHS. So when my Hurricane arrives this week I will use his video for installation info after I put a couple of flights on her with fixed gear.

I've been kicking around the cooling/venting issue and a solution that would retain the stock look.

I'm not an engineer, so I have no idea if the dimensions are correct to create the necessary draw but it might be worth a try.

Those of you flying the Hurricane with E-Flite retracts and Spektrum, are you adding an external BEC?

Mine is ready to go, but I don't have any more Castle BECs at home. Trying to decide whether to fly it or wait until I get a BEC. I'm paranoid the E-Flite 60amp ESC might not be able to handle flaps and retracts.

Some folk have fitted BEC's, others not
... the stock Hurri set up can handle addition of the flaps with the E-flite retracts.

Some folk insist on fitting BEC's by default; certainly does no harm.

The prop and spinner are stock. It's the FMS model.
RE: hot ESC- in talking to some of the guys I fly w/ I'm now thinking ill just add a UBEC, they think that and adding more ventilation should keep it cool. I'm looking at
1)closing off (partially first, then test) the back half of the radiator. *I will be adding a screen to the front of the rad to keep out dirt, as I fly off dirt fields.
2) adding a gap on either side of ESC (maybe doing the straw idea to it).
3) opening up exhaust stacks and venting to reduce internal fuse pressure.

What part of the plane is FMS model?

dozens of flight on mine not a problem with stock esc.
