Art-Tech Cessna-182 Engine wont respond

Hi, I'm a newbie,
just bought a Art-Tech Cessna-182, I've seen a lot of posts on the subject but nothing that I can understand.

When I fire the contoller all servos respond except for the engine . There is some noise
coming out of the fuselage behind where the servo's are for the rudder etc.

This plane has never been flown, it has the Art-Tech 4 channel control system(ETB62-2.4Ghz), BM2408-21 Brushless motor.

I was hoping someone could give me some easy to understand instructions on how to get the motor running and I step off the laptop onto the real thing.

noise in the tail fuse has nothing to do with the motor.

your options are:
1. return it to manufacturer and have them fix it. i recommend this route.
2. disassemble it to diagnose it.

my guess is the ESC<->motor connectors disconnected. but this is just a guess. to figure out what is actually wrong you would have to open it up. and i'd rather you contact the manufacturer.

If you purchased it locally, take it back to the store & have them help you.
Otherwise, return it.
You could also try taking it to your local Hobby store for help even if it was not purchased there,
From reading your post, i feel you will need hands on help or return it.

folks, thanks for replies.

Sadly I bought it from garage sale, thought I was getting a bargain not a head-ache /

Looks like next step for me is to watch the video and then remove motor, esc and bench test, failing that off to the hobby shop.

Cheers.

make sure you are conservative in diagnosing the problem so you isolate the cause. once you are certain you have figured out the source, then apply fixes. ask questions when in doubt (and post pics).
