Aye, a little Googling (when I should have been working) brought me to the same conclusion... thanks for the link!

Ez abuse!

A few weeks ago I tried to fly in an area way to small for this plane. It has been over 2 years with no crashes so I guess my time had come.
Tried to pull out with full power but failed to clear a fence
Damage was extensive, tore the nose off, wing saddle, motor mount, and cracked the tail boom. The wings stayed together with rubber band mod though
She is all back in one piece now and flies just fine.
So when is enough enough, when glue and tape out weigh the foam?
Hurry up with the EZII in the US!

I had the cam facing backwards for the first time. Just prior to impact I did a power-off dive down to the left of where we were standing, pulling into a low level loop (which I don't remember) with power; this was performed almost behind us. I think it began to screw out of the loop and that's when I got dazzled by the low sun and pulled the wrong way into the ground. Official conclusion: 100% Pilot error with respect to manoeuvres carried out at low altitude, positioning with respect to sun, and lack of pilot intelligence and skills [AAIB Report no Blink-15-4-T0553R]

The cam continued to record for a further 30 mins after impact. Amusingly, it shows me walking past it 3 times apparently staring right at it and still not seeing it. Once I even trod on it with my size nines.

As an aside: anyone know of a free editing suite for these .mov files? My WMM wont touch them with a barge pole.....
Colonel

You are way too hard on yourself. Just chalk it up to sun blindness and maybe a little pilot error for the crash.

As for not seeing the camera in the grass, that can happen to anyone (did me). Maybe we need some type of signal device that turns on from body heat.

Glad you found it anyway.

As a buddy once told me, if you look closely.... very close, you'll see that it has an expiration date in there.

I've found mine a few times.

If you can tolerate the awful interface and the glacial save times teh virtual dub might be worth a try. But user friendly it aint

I finally splashed out some of my paltry pension on AVS after trying several free ones with very limited capabilities if they worked at all. AVS is pretty good and works on my relatively slow Win XP PC. I also use KM player for everything now - it's the best IMHO.

I use VideoPad Video Editor from NHC software. It allows you to cut, splice, add music and convert files. It then allow you to save or upload them to youtube.

Just wanted to say thanks to all who contribute to this thread. Finally got an Easystar built so I could get my GoPro in the air. Here's a vid with the build and a few of the first flights (successful and unsuccessful)

Nice job Matt. Different.
Does the radio you use support expo? You may want to add some on rudder and elevator to help with over correcting until you get lighter on the sticks.

Also, the audio. Was that Scott tuning his guitar with his feet?

[QUOTE=Colonel Blink;

Last night I decided to have another look for the missing #16 keycam, because all I could think was that there was 25 of my money laying in the grass there. S

And then to top it all, whilst young Ms Blinkette was walking around wearing the bubble wrap tube wing covers on her legs as trousers, she suddenly called 'Pater dearest, I do believe that I have discovered one's missing item....' and she rustled up to me with the missing #16 in her hand.

Scott says.....Inquiring minds want to know- so where is the crash video? I wanna see it- I share all mine....do we get to see it soon? when? how soon? Is it cool? are we there yet?
