I might never try another HT, but to see some of the mixing available in the OpenTx, ER9X, etc. it opens possibilities for future ideas. Thanks for sharing.
If you want a tracker that works try this 1 for about $20 everybody who has it says how well it centers. I only have mine on the bench and have left it for long periods of time in different positions and then back to center and it gets it right every time.

If you want CH 9 to 16 on the pins you need to bind with jumpers on the signal pins 1 to 2 and 3 to 4.

Much appreciated! I have to open her up to solder my new gimbal power cable anyway, so I'll re-bind with the appropriate process as well.

This builds the [next](https://github.com/opentx/opentx/commits/next) branch every night, with default options for Taranis only for now.

(snip)

Would be good to know what you think of it
- Of course any other bug you'd find!
Where is the "Stick Sides" function hiding? It used to be in the Sticks>Edit>Sides menu. I can't find it anywhere in the new Companion. I use this function a LOT, especially on elevator. The "Functions" option under "Curves" is not the same thing. Doesn't allow a variation of expo on each side of the stick movement.

I would open it next to your existing eepe, then copy and paste the headtracking functions. That way you don't load all of my settings to your radio.

There you go, nightly build server is up: http://jenkins.open-tx.org/firmware/nightly-builds/

Has companion 1.99 not released yet I assume but sure has a different look and feel. I am kind of used to the old layout. New version is fancier. Seems to work ok though.

Edit
Has Play once, not at start up which is cool.

Is companion 1.99 only compatible with Next?

New Taranis yesterday!

Bricked today Win7, XP, zadig, card out, new cable. I'm stumped. Any Taranis Pilots in Lakeland this weekend for Florida Jets?

Actually, that eepe has no settings other than headtracking, so you can use it to start a new model. So yeah, you can just use that eepe.

Now if you want to add headtracking to an existing model that you already have set up, you just need to copy and past the mixes on channels 5 and 6 (in the mixes menu).

I doubt it's totally bricked. The bootloader in these is pretty hard to mess up. With the radio OFF, plug into the computer. Look in device manager for the ST Bootloader device. Is it there?

Here's how to think of it.

The TX can send any number of channels up to 16.

Depending on your receiver:

- traditional RX can support as many channels as they have pins for.

- a "pure" Sbus Rx would have not traditional pins, and would support up to 16 servos. Each servo can be programmed as to which channel it responds to.

- the XR8 is a typical "hybrid" Sbus Rx, which includes 8 standard pins and an Sbus connector. The pins are hard-coded for channels 1-8. Servos on the Sbus would typically be programmed in the range 9-16. I think there would be no problem duplicating an Sbus servo channel onto one of the traditional channels if that were useful. (i.e. ch 6 controls two servos: one plugged into traditional channel 6 and also an Sbus servo programmed to channel 6).

I'm sure this is a stupid question, but just to cover all bases, your battery IS plugged in AND charged, correct?

The X8R is not hard-coded for channels 1 to 8. There are 4 methods of coding it whils binding. CHs 1 to 8 with telemetry, 1 to 8 less telemetry, CHs 9 to 16 with telemetry and 9 to 16 without telemetry.
And simulioustainally outputs all 16 CHannels via Sbus.
