Do anyone no where I can get a set.? I would like to attempt to make an EDF 1/10th scale version of the "C" model.

What exactly are you looking for? There's a reasonably accurate surface model on GrabCad.

He's been a busy boy-- found a decent answer here. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...02&postcount=1.... post #7

Can't say for sure if it's a C variant, or E/F. But wouldn't b e to hard to modify the plans.

considering the articles with the F18 build is from 93, its probably an A/B/C variant, as they didn't have super hornets then

F-18c Drawings

I found an old military magazine with scale drawings and enlarged them with an overhead to 1/10th scale. I am still working on the drawings and trying to figure out how to do the wings, vertical and horizontal stabs. When I get it completed, I figure to put two 70mm fans in it. Wish me luck.

James Rhodes, I'm no expert an this--but I have 2-- Y/A F-18 kits to work on over time.. These to, are 1/10th scale, see specs- http://yellowaircraft.webs.com/fa18hornetsingle.htm

And they call for a 127mm fan, with min 12+ - lb or better installed thrust,
For mine I'm having a custom made Neu hybrid motor built using the -1917/1Y stator with a 1915 rotor, which should give me Kv around 640. on 12s For my Tams/Dynamax fan

B-4 you go out and buy the fans/motor combo-Do some serious home work on this. Get as close as possible to expected AUW.
ALL components Then factor in costs! Feel free to PM me if you think I might be of some help,

Cooler

If I could get just the Yellow Aircraft F/A-18 Hornet Single -Primed, Carbon-Reinforced One Piece Epoxy Fiberglass Fuselage with All Panel Lines, Grills, Avionics, and Gun Details only along with the pieces for the control of the vertical and horizontal stabs and ailerons. I would use the ribs I have done for the internal to make it a twin 70mm. Do you know where I can get what have mentions? I already have scale gear from R/C Crafters. Checked out SLUF7 thread and found the plans he used from Triplet Publications for $33; not bad! What do you suggest? Do you have pictures of your projects?

What your asking for is a full kit!

If you do ever find one--scrape the twin 70's idea. You'll have no room for the retracts. Unless your doing a belly lander! Even then, you won't have much room. I know , I have checked out both F-18 kits- --its made for the Dynamax fan --although you could go with a120 fan too. With a ton of ducting mods --I thought about it, but my ducting skills suck-- so I bought another Dynamax fan, A Tams's center body, and am waiting on a special made Neu motor for one of them . The other gets a Dyn-E-max/Scorpion 635 Kv set up.

But I do have XPS/Dynamax -640Kv hacker I would sell you.

Don't even ask--....
There' s not a snows chance in hell I'd sell either one!
