Venders

Hi,
I'm looking for some good US vendors for parts. Right now I'm looking for a throttle cable for my G1 mono.

Thanks,
Chief

Exactly what kind of parts are you looking for? Is this an insane mono?

It is a Y6 racing hull for G1 NAMBA class. Looking for misc parts line throttle cables, pipe mounts, radio box parts, flexshafts, collets, zenoah spare parts

I saw insane has some parts but looked pretty limited.

Boaters rarely use throttle cable setups anymore. Most use 2-56 or 4-40 threaded rod.
www.zippkits.com sells just about everything on your list except for Zenoah parts.
Try www.gizmomotors.com for Zen engines and parts, probably the best prices on them.

Thanks.
My current boat has threaded rods, but I have a 90 degree linkage routing so there are way too many screws/pivots to fail (took me out of 1 heat already...)

Much prefer a continuous link from the servo to the throttle.

Maybe something like this then? This isolator rotates the carb for a straighter shot.

I use braided flexible cables or small diameter spring steel rods for direct linkage between the throttle arm & the throttle servo. Braided cables can easily be bent 180*, if the radius is large enough by using supports such as those shown. They have very low friction & can have their cable housing ends effectively sealed with heat shrink tubing. Heat shrink tubing is also used on solid rod type linkages. The size of solid spring steel rods that could be used is determined by the flexibility needed & their housings are also supported. Lubriplate #2 Marine grease is injected in both housing types with a small diameter syringe in the initial set up & remains there through out the life of the boat. All carburetor types have positive mechanical stops for full wide open & full closed positions.

I used some Sullivan cable on a RE RCMK JAE gas 'rigger but used antenna tube to dress it up some I greased the cable to help prevent water from coming in.
